Good Byes

Photobucket

I hate good byes,
They are so hard to say.
Why is it the best,
Are so far away?

Across fields and forests,
And oceans and rivers.
The heart can travel,
The love it delivers.

In person or spirit,
The soul is accepted.
Nothing in the way,
No love interrupted.

Boats and bicycles,
Cars and planes.
Hearts are joined,
Just a hug remains.

Save the sorrow,
 And think of this rhyme.
No more good byes,
Only until next time.

I took the picture this past Saturday in Boston Public Gardens.

I prefer to think of goodbyes as see you later's, but I'm not good at it. I usually bawl like a baby.

I always say until next time...goodbye is so final - and so depressing.
