While I was in Missouri visiting my girlfriend Holly, I came across a phenomenon that appears to be mostly mid-western, a beer bucket. I had never heard of or seen one before. In the east the closest we come is a pitcher of beer. I think the bucket is a better idea. It keeps the beer cold and if left capped it won't go flat. You always have a fresh beer when you want one without having to wait for a waitress.
You can get beer other than Budweiser, but in Missouri apparently it is against the law.....
Seems an idea to start rocking on the east coast.
Do you have them in your part of the world?

Yes, of course we have buckets of beer here!! How interesting that you don't have them out east. We usually do Miller buckets(with my husband being from Milwaukee and all).
Nope, we don't have those either! Weird, cuz that would be better than a pitcher, for sure!
Being in the midwest, MN with Cathy to be exact. Hellz YES we have buckets! ;)
I'm in New England with you...pitchers are the thing. The secret is to drink them up quickly before they have time to go flat!
They are all over the south where I'm from. It's a great idea if u ask me! :o)
The Wife's work has been doing that here in Atlanta for years.
Yep, we've got them here along with a bucket of oysters, a bucket of clams...LOL
yes we do...and if you are lucky even in kegs...lol.
Yes, buckets abound here in Texas. Except we have to empty them of their original content before we fill them with Shiner Bock beer. BTW, I found you via Dementia for 2, and am glad I did. Will be back again. EFH
Haha! I'm a teetotaler and yet I never thought about the uniqueness of beer buckets. Never noticed the absence of such in my travels. I grinned when you made me realize that. Glad you had a good time in Missouri.
$5 bucket nights rule around here!
Damn, that's clever! Never seen it before, and why not? This would be a certain hit anywhere.
Makes sense but I don't think I've ever seen them in the East. the beer would stay cold a lot longer than in a pitcher.
We sure do over here! In fact I've only seen buckets of beer! I've never seen pitchers anywhere! It sure makes alot more sense!
Brilliant! Now, does it also come in wine?
-->We have them here but not every bar offers them.
we have them in Florida but I don't drink beer usually...and we have pitchers of maragritas too!
