Our view of the stage, including as much zoom as my camera had.
Although Oasis is no more they continue to be one of my all time favorite bands. They broke up in 2009 after the brothers, Liam and Noel Gallagher had (another) fight. They have fueded for years and apparently this break up seems for good. I was lucky enough to see them once, in concert, at Madison Square Garden in New York City in 2008. My seats were as high as you could possible get at the Garden and visibility was poor but I could hear them sing and enjoyed myself completely.
I've always had a bit of a crush on the Gallagher brothers. I think it must the "bad boy" image. Liam was the lead singer and Noel, who also sang lead on some songs, was the principle song writer. Their music is mostly less known in the US but have had hits with Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova. In Britain they are part of what is known as Britpop a "a reaction against... the Grunge appearing in the US" Click the link it is an interesting read.
Since the break up of Oasis, Noel appears to be going solo and Liam has created a new band with the remaining members of Oasis. The band, Beady Eye has released a couple of singles and a new cd is forthcoming. I like what I have heard so far and will be definitely be checking out the full cd when it is dropped.
The following are a few of my favorite Oasis tracks.
Supersonic, with Liam at lead vocals is a great work out song.
The Importance of Being Idle has Noel at lead vocals. It contains one of my favorite lyrics. ....
"I'll be fine, if you give me a minute, a man's got a limit,
I can't get a life if my heart's not in it"
Little by Little is another Noel headed song and is twice as sweet since it stars one of my favorite actors, Robert Carlyle (my little gush about him)

nice...they did have a couple of hits that are easily recognizable just from the song titles...
Will you hate me if I confess to having no idea who this band is?
Happy Valentine's Day!
You are keeping me cool!
Happy Valentine's Day to you!
I have an old CD of theirs, but I'd forgotten about them!
I used to LOVE Oasis!
You have a great music taste!
Happy Valentine's Day!

I have no knowledge of this group. but then, I'm not very knowledgable about music.
My husband really likes their music. I'm more into pop...he's a rock guy!
Great music, Oasis ~ brings back memories... Happy Valentines day!
Now this is a good band and definitely a breath of fresh air from the grunge and hard rock of the 90's. They wrote some good music and had some great riffs in there.
I did not know that Britpop was an answer to Grunge - that's pretty cool!
Cool - I guess the attitude of the band made their sound. Pity they had a bit too much and won't make up. Supersonic is probably my favorite Oasis track, along with Don't Look Back in Anger.
I remember Oasis...It's too bad the brothers couldn't get along because weren't they described by some as being the next Beattles? Glad you got to see them live. I think the last group I saw live was Kiss in 1987.
I had forgotten about them! Great music.
Too bad the brothers had to act like, well, brothers.
