I got my wish

I got my wish,
Just last night,
It snowed enough
To cover the shite.

I hate the brown,
And dirty snow.
Looks like desolution,
How could anything grow.

Underneath the snow
The crocuses struggle
To burst thru the cold,
And the ground where they snuggle.

Daffodils, my favorite,
Yellow and bright,
Might make a viewing,
Once it's June and they see light.

My pessimism persists
Despite the cold
Pretty blanket of snow.
Poor man fertilizer, so I'm told.

If looking at ugly snow,
Is what it takes,
Hurry up spring
And melt the snow flakes.

Hmmm...nice poem. I'll wait for spring to see your daffodil bloom.

Over at The Farm it's been real hot, until the rain came when my son and his son came visiting.

It's amazing how something that flutters gently from the sky and sparkles in the sunshine when newly fallen does eventually look like shite.

Bring the Spring.
