Friday 55- Diets suck

Fit by fifty passed me by
At fifty-one I dare to try.

one,
two,
five,
eleven
A lot. to. go.

Panting,
Sweating,
Breathing,
Fun??

Frustration,
Inspiration.

Chocolate yes
Chocolate no.

Carbs good,
Carbs bad.

Diets suck.

Slow, steady wins the race,
Have to relax, keep a pace,
100 gone and see satisfaction on my face.

Slow and steady does win the race, especially the weight loss race. Keep it up!!

I agree with slow and steady. It's much more attainable and sustainable.

Oh you're so good at these 55's!!! I love this. And you're right...slow and steady wins the race and fits you into those jeans from 5 years ago. I'm on day 4 of returning from an 8 week hiatus and the big move. It was ugly the first day, but yesterday I felt less like dying on the elliptical. It's the little things.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!

I hate 'em too. The minute I say I'm on a diet, I start craving all those things I never want otherwise. In support of your efforts, I won't name them. Besides, you know what they are.

Excellent 55!

You can do it!
Am I the only one who looks at that cartoon and wants to lick the icecream?

Ha! Great 55, very tongue in cheek, but I hear the truth in there to. Boy, do I hear it.

And, for the record, I agree with the other commenters: chocolate is always a yes. Everything in moderation, or so I've heard...unfortunately, moderation is not my strong suit! ;)

Have a great weekend!

My brain went a little fuzzy at chocolate no.

Diets do suck. But from personal experience I found that my diet became habit and now I am no longer on the diet anymore! It's just a better way of eating.

But remember you must treat yourself every now and then.

this is priceless. love it. i hate diets. i am trying to think of them more as lifestyle changes...and that way I'm not always on a "diet." right? or this is the lie i keep telling myself...

No carbs suck, but it works.

As a diet controlled diabetic, I know how great it is to lose weight, and how fast it goes off with no carbs.

But, yeah, it sucks...but it works...

I saw you mentioned on Trac's site and thought I'd stop by to say hello. A great post, I couldn't agree more. Nice to meet you, I've enjoyed visiting.

I hear the weight-loss struggle, no question. Progress is progress, though.
