0450 and all is well....

I haven't felt well the last few days so subsiquently the gym hasn't been a top priority. I called out sick from work last night and as I usually do when I am not at work, woke up in the middle of the night. I watched a little tv, surfed the net for a bit and then decided, why not and went to the gym.



The gym is about  6 miles from my house via the back roads and I didn't pass one car the entire route, was kinda cool. There were a few people there which was good because I would have felt awkward if I was alone. I did my cardio on the bike for about 35 minutes and then did the weight machines. Today was "upper body" day and I didn't do all the sets but I am still not completely upto par. I figured at least I went.  I may just make this my day off routine... but I reserve the right to be lazy change my mind.

From there I went to Starbucks, and didn't hit a red light the entire way [other than getting cut off by some asshole driver] the day was going great. Has anyone tried the Starbucks popcorn? It is buttery with salt and pepper. As the barista said there is so much going on at the same time, it is delicious. Only 150 calories, 3g fat and 0g transfat. Each package is one ounce of satisfying yumminess.

I get home with arm loads of goodies, it is raining and the new garage door opener won't open.....that is next weeks Justifiable Homicide. [don't worry Mom it works]


So what were you doing at 0450 this morning.

I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well. It's good that you still went to the gym. And that popcorn sounds amazing.

i was probably on the edge of sleep...i usually get up about 530...hope you get some rest...

Er...I was sleeping. No way could I get up that early to work out.

Well, I had been sleeping but then there was a rustling from the other side of the bed and much later I was looking for my pj's and blankets.

You're east coast, so 4:50am was 1:50am west coast, which is my time, and at that time I was just rolling into bed. I'm a night owl, which has never been good for the early bird world, because when everyone else is rising and shining, I am either power plowing my pillow or slamming the crap out of the snooze buttom. I buy alarm clocks that have GIANT snooze buttons. I eventually get up, but because of lack of sleep there are dark rings and bags under my eyes, so then I have to decide if it would be acceptable for me to call in ugly to work. "Sorry, boss, can't come to work today...I'm ugly."
