Flash Friday 55

Foggy, fuzzy
Groggy and tired.

Eyes heavy
Head achey
Legs weak.

Morning breath
Nasty taste.

Coffee please,
Coffee please.

Concoction completed
Tasted and tested.

Last nights trials
Todays pains.

Knocked the glass
To the floor it fell.
Glass is smashed
Set is broken

Swept and mopped
Cleaned and wiped.

New drink made
Today I paid.

Need. Drink. Now.

Oh, I remember those days... it's funny, though, I rely on coffee far more now then I did then - back in the day!

Never had a night before to force me to deal with a morning after, but was a dab hand at dropping glasses on the floor - then I discovered stainless steel goblets and poly-something, unbreakable 'glasses'!Thanks for dropping by my 55.

I think you had a really good drink last night, huh???

Thank heavens, I haven't felt like that in the morning in about forty years. I have been drinking tea this week since I have been too lazy to grind the coffee beans since I got back from vacation. It's on the list for today.

Loved your 55.

Your 55 made me smile...sorry.
Excellent contribution VL.
Thank you so much for visiting, thank you for playing, and have a Happy Easter and a Kick Ass Week-End...G

Thank goodness for coffee. Especially the Handpresso-brewed espresso shots that crack my eyes open every.single.morning.

Great 55! I felt your pain. I really did.

Oh we have all been there once or twice! You wrote it so well I thought I was hung over for a minute. LOL!

I hate when I am on a coffee is necessary kick. And I am on one right now.

Not a fun habit to break.

Oh yeah... that coffee sure looks like the tonic for my head this morning...

I don't like coffee - but then I don't drink!

otin said...

Have not been hung over in a long long time! I have, however, had my share of coffee.

Erin said...

The only time I drink coffee is when I'm hungover. LOL!

Great job on this one---loved it!

Happe Easter!

Love the hazy 'I haven't completely awakened' writing style. Great 55. My 55 is HERE.

Sounds like a sickness. But then, the only thing I drink is water and fruit juice.

It's not often that I've read anything that resonates so well!

Love this. That is how I feel about coffee. I should frame print and frame it.

Coffee-drink of the Gods. Hubby gave me a coffee sampler for Christmas. My favorite so far is Double Chocolate Coffee. OH YUM! D

Ah, the wondrous ability of coffee to give that morning pick me up. Shame I can't drink it :(
A lady at my work dropped her coffee cup last week, went e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e. and took ages to clean her desk, LOL.

I know that feeling chica!

This is so apt. Without my coffee fix there's no way I'd be able to get writing in the morning. But I would hate to add up how much I spend in Starbucks every months.

As a buzzard you swallow a lot of crap, if you know what I mean. A taste of the elixir of the God's will make it all better.

A cool 55.

I can't start the morning without coffee and this morning our power was out because of the gale force winds that whipped through our area. I was lost. Shipwrecked in my quiet kitchen. Nothing hummed, or percolated or buzzed or sang.

Thanks for visiting my 55.
