Yeah, I am a rarer blood group, so I donate four times a year.
In England, we do it voluntary but I know that in some parts of America, you get paid for it.
I am also on the National Body-Parts Register, so that if anything should happen to me, they can use any part/s of my body that they like or are suitable. My eyes, heart, liver, and kidneys, as well as my lungs are all there.
More people should "Carry The Card", or at least make their wishes known.
I haven't donated in a long while. I'm bad. I'll do it real soon, pinky promise!

I used to donate blood all the time...but now I'm on a few new medications, so I don't even know if I CAN donate. I need to find out...

Supafun 55!! And all of that Biology and Chemistry in college really paid off because I knew every single word (and could probably define it if I needed to. ha.) The people who work in our blood banks are definitely forgotten...until they are desperately needed. I can't give blood because of my severe anemia, but my husband gives like clockwork. And we are both organ donors. What a great thing it is that y'all do!
I don't know how you can put up with all that bodily fluid stuff on a daily basis - but it is very noble cause :-)
