Blush

Have you ever felt such a fool,
For doing something you don't normally do.

For playing a part, playing a game,
Nothing that would bring you shame.

Your face is red, your eyes look down,
Where there was a smile is now a frown.

Forgiveness is easily won,
Wasn't needed from anyone.

Embarassment can be kept inside,
Not to be shared, easy to hide.

Just a feeling all your own,
Old enough, you should have known.

Was it all you wanted to attain,
Would you do it all again?

In a nod, yes in a wink,
It was worth the laugh, yes-I think.

Wiser with each passing day,
Taking risks, learning to play.

And luckily with each morning dawn,
The blush is cleansed with the days first yawn.
