I have known about the band Augustana for awhile and for one reason or another not shared. Thanks to Wikipedia, I know they are an American band [shock for me I know] from San Diego, California and are best known for their singles, Boston and Sweet and Low.
They only have two cds, All the Stars and Boulevards and Can't Hurt, Can't Love. I own both and like them both. Their songs often start mellow and build up, I have always liked songs like this.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I pink puffy heart LOVE Augustana. I have no idea how I stumbled across them last year but they have a GREAT sound. Very mellow, very smooth. I have several of their songs on my i-Pod. Since I don't do "Music Mondays" but do want to share one with you that someone told me about over the weekend...if you like jazzy blues by a woman (think Diana Krall), check out Melody Gardot). Very jazzy. Love it. Had to download a couple immediately. I'm loving all of your suggestions and continue to look forward to Mondays (which, kudos to you, says a LOT).

I love Augustana! I have both their Cd's and listen to them almost every day!!! I enjoyed the videos!
Now that both chicas have flown the roost, it's good to have a "contact" in the music world. Thanks for sharing this!
Boston is a great song and video and well written as well. I guess I like that song b/c Boston is also my fave city!

Wow...I have liked them for awhile. Being from from So California, I often get to some bands before the get bigger. They are good.
For some reason I can't listen to them :0( Will pop bak later for another try.

I have heard of them and have listened to a few songs but its been a long time. I love these songs.
