55 words-Sleep

Sleep the enemy
I fight it strong.

Awake all night
Off and on.

TV lights
The late night dark.
Infomercials talk til dawn.

Computer dims
Its light goes out.
People sleep
On the other side.

A drink,
The bathroom
As I wake.
On the couch
TV blank again.

Finally to bed
Eyes close in am.

Ok, why did you write about me? And how did you get into my house and saw me like that, all passed out in front of the tv, under my little purple blanket?
I will forgive you cause you have done it so brilliantly!

Seriously, only 55 words? Wonder if I would be able to do it? I always have one two many words to add to anything!

I've lived those nights too, up and down, distractions, kitchen and bathroom trips, then, to fall asleep just before sunrise and the beep of that alarm...

First of all, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I love meeting new friends in the blog world when they comment or become followers.

This 55 describes the sleepless night so well. One thing is usually certain - if I have a night like this I am usually guaranteed a great night's sleep the next night.

Again, welcome.

You really need to get some sleep dear!

It sucks that it's so hard.

Love informercials at night! Half drugged with sleep is a great way to watch them!

You are a poet.

I recently succumbed and am now taking some medication to help me fall asleep & stay asleep. It is the best thing ever. I'm like a new person. I'll worry about getting addicted to it later. After I catch up on my sleep.

Happy Friday!

OMG I can not imagine being awake at that hour! Knock on wood I rarely have problems with sleep- great 55 words though :-) And nice site- I just found you!

I don't know why it is that the time I embrace sleep the most is when I need to be most awake - at 7 AM. Before that I am bouncing off the walls, it seems.

love it!

Insomnia is one of those things I'd like to have words with. But you did it so much better! :)

55 words is more than enough when you are as good a writer as you are.

You have received The Beautiful Blogger Award! Usually here's how it works:
1. You list 7 things about yourself, not already on your About Me page.
2. You list 7 things that make you Happy.
3. You pass the Award on to 7 Bloggers you enjoy.

But - I understand everyone is busy, so if you want to simply enjoy the fact you got a pat on the back and do nothing - that's OK, too.

Or, you could do it like someone showed me - I posted a link to blogs I enjoy and encouraged my followers to stop by and follow the blogs I gave the Award to. Sharing the Love! Either way - know you are appreciated, and enjoy your Award!
