With the new year here, I hope you all have friends as wonderful as I do.
A Friend
A friend came to my rescue today,
Let me b*tch and rant away.
Listened to me without judgment,
Offered no answers or atonement.
Made me laugh, despite my pout,
Shook my funk and tossed it out.
Another day I’ll do the same,
Thus describes, the friendship game.
No questions asked, no favors desired,
Just understanding, and an ear when required.

Seriously. That is friendship in its most simple definition. For me, if I can't bitch or cry with a person. I probably won't relax enough to laugh with them. Cheers to good friends in 2010. I have heard it said that you can never have too many. I however, barely have time to bore and neglect the ones I already have.
