Musical Monday-on a Friday

I bought tickets yesterday to see Train. My oldest and I saw Pat Monahan a couple of years ago on his solo tour. Yep that's me with him. Goofy picture of me I know........He's a tiny guy but with a big voice.

Another picture of Pat during the gig. It was a small club in Boston called The Paradise. A great place to see bands, up close and personal

Calling All Angels. [sorry for the ad before the video, they are everywhere now]

I had my butt kicked at work this week. We were super super busy.  I barely had time to pee or have coffee, maybe that's backwards.. Anyway.... I am behind on my blog reading and hope to catch ths weekend, although that is looking busy as well... sigh.

Ever since Train came out with "Drops of Jupiter", I have been a BIG fan. And then, lo and behold, I was watching an episode of CSI: NY (because y'know...Gary Sinise is my boyfriend) and Pat was guest starring. I think he was playing a character who had been a bum on the street and was "rescued" by these femme fatales rich girls who were then going to kill him for the life insurance money, but he was so convincing. I didn't realize it was Pat (having never really paid any attention to his picture before) until he started busting out "Hey Soul Sister" (which is also a rockin' song). Anyway, have a GREAT time...I can't wait to hear all about it!

I'm so jealous you got to meet Pat. I am a big fan of Train and his solo career. The lyrics are always so clever and the music is so catchy.

I'm oddly attracted to Pat, and I can't really explain it because he's not my usual type.

Must be a lot of animal magnetism in those fitted tees and faded jeans.

Pee and coffee have no order, they are in a never-ending circle!

Ohh Lucky you!!! Did you see him on CSI NY a few weeks ago - not the best actor but he did perform a couple of songs.

Okay, now I know I'm old...I've never heard of Train...or maybe I have and I've forgotten...but that would prove I'm old...eh gods.

Great Song! I liked this post. I am sadly coming off my Eddie Izzard high. I still harbor the belief that he and I are meant to be. Is it weird to be attracted to a guy who dresses up like a woman occasionally.

He is kind of cute, isn't he?

And good to see you! I can finally put a face to the vodka.

Blimey, how cool is that?

I hate super busy weeks at work! I get through them by telling myself "it's paying the bills, Richard, it's paying the bills"!

ok, i wasn't going to visit today b/c on my blog roll, from your title, i assumed the post would be another music clip that i would be unable to hear without my speakers...but then when i looked on my dashboard, i read this excerpt/preview. just like this. you will see why i changed my tune and came right over.
"I bought tickets yesterday to see Train. My oldest and I saw Pat Monahan a couple of years ago on his solo tour. Yep that's me with him. Goofy picture of me I know........He's a tiny guy but with a big"
...and it stops there, after the word "big".
glad i did, too. what a fun trip. he is a cutie and i too enjoy his music though currently listening exclusively to REO Speedwagon.

I think I might have been the only person in the world who didn't know that Pat Monahan (sp?) was the frontman for Train. I loved that band back in the day, and now, I love Pat Monahan... I just never made the connection!!

Stopping by from SITS Saturday Sharefest!
