Merry Christmas... you read that right

All the Christmas decorations are down and put away, or so I thought. It seems every year I find something we forgot to put away. Sometimes it is "wintery" as opposed to Christmasy so it doesn't "stick out". This years find isn't such a decoration.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I want to thank everyone who sent me well wishes yesterday, it was greatly appreciated. Onwards and upwards.

LOL ... when I saw the title of your post I got all excited and was hoping that I wasn't the last person on EARTH that hasn't taken their tree down (no decorations on it, just the tree, sitting in the corner, mocking me)

LOL...

Some people down the next street from us leave their Christmas lights on the outside of their house all year, instead of a light by the front door.

At least you got your tree down. We just had our family Christmas party last Saturday. I think it's safe to take mine down now.

It makes me laugh every year when I find that random thing. Then, the following year I get another laugh because that item gets packed randomly too. I'll be unpacking ornaments and there's a plate!

You only have 1 thing that gets left out? Damn. We usually reserve a whole box for things we find. It's usually around March when we find the last of it. "Hey there's a snowman above the door!"

You still have gotten all your decorations down faster than the buildings on our court square. I think they are headed towards year round Christmas decorations!

All I know is I want it!!! We are supposed to move back into our building that flooded the day after Christmas. When I passed the building yesterday I looked up and saw one lonely Christmas sticker on the window - might just leave it up until next Christmas - heck I am moving jobs in two months anyways.

Hope you are feeling better today - off to support Rush and her Colts *winks*

This year I got all of the decorations down because I scoured the house several times. I did that because while I was putting up the decorations Thanksgiving weekend, I found a Valentine's Day decoration still sitting on top of my piano. I have no idea how I didn't notice it sooner than 10 months later.

This, I can let slide. As for the people at the entrance of our neighborhood who still have full Christmas regalia thrown all over their house? I'm about to put a nasty note on the door. And it's tacky to start with. You cannot leave your Merry Christmas flag hanging from your garage until it's time to replace it with the Easter one. You just can't.

Now how painful is it to dig the Christmas box back out just to stick it in? :-D

I still have one of our wreaths up. Not sure why and everytime I see it I think, 'I need to take that down.' And then I walk by it to get another handful of M&M's.

Don't feel bad... I still have all of mine up too!!! I'm thinking I will just leave it up until next year. Makes things a hell of a lot easier... Oh and we have some Halloween stuff out still too.

This happens to me too. Usually it's something in the guest bath that I never use. Other times it's right next to the TV, staring at me.

Man you have been busy to miss that! I missed the Max and Ruby Christmas book and I am kicking myself. It is SO annoying and I just keep forgetting to put all those Christmas and Channukah books away!

I thought this was going to be about one of my habits which is to put ALL the decorations away and keep finding things I forgot, one at a time all over the place.

It's cute.
