Justifiable Homicide Tuesday-teenagers

I almost got to commit homicide this week, accidentally of course. I was driving home from somewhere in town and decided to use some side roads to avoid traffic lights and well, traffic. Since it had just snowed the roads were still snow covered. [seems obvious I suppose but the main roads are free of snow fairly quickly]. As I drove up the road I could see three "kids" walking in the middle of my lane. There was a car driving towards me so I couldn't go around them. I honked to let them know I was coming and they turned around and looked at me and kept walking........in the lane.

As I got closer they moved over a bit and I stopped next to them to tell them it was a road after all and get out of the way. At this vantage I got a better look and the two younger boys were high school age 15-16 there abouts and the older "kid" had a friggin beard....he leaned over to say something and I said "grow up" and closed the window.

This is the best part and not premeditated I promise, but as I drove off my tires spun in the snow and flung snow all over the gang. I looked in the mirror to see their horror and the older one started to chase after me, but I was already too far away and the snow was still flying so it hindered his advancement. At this point he was waving a variety of hand gestures at me and probably verbalizing a few too.

I did have a chuckle the rest of the ride home.

disclaimer: at the point I realized he was chasing my car I did not feel frightened but did feel the need to keep going. They were all standing when I last looked...perhaps a bit wetter and hopefully a bit wiser. I don't know about other towns, but this seems a rampant problem in mine. We have perfectly good sidewalks and people [read that mostly teens, but amazingly so also adult walkers and joggers] feel the need to walk down the middle of the street.

And how was your week?

They had their foolish defiance, and you had the last laugh. It made for a good day.

LMAO!!!! I am imagining their faces when they realized that they were wet in a not so cool way.

We are experiencing the same thing, teenagers walking in the street, spread out in the street, obstructing traffic.

My friend, she is an ex police officer, would get out and ‘help’ them out of the street. I am not that brave and street smart. But I call the police every time I find them in the streets and insist that they clear the streets, remove the juveniles. Now when the teenage street obstructions see me, they remove themselves. Not because they are afraid of me, because they are afraid of the police. And the police find me annoying, irritating and unshakeable. All good. For me anyway.

I LOVE the karma that was the flinging of snow. I'm a believer that what goes around comes around!

LMAO. Now that is good. Stupid teenagers!

What's better than revenge? Accidental revenge!! That was fantastic! I am imagining the faces of our "gangsta" youth that roam the middle of the roads here and they NEED to be drenched in dirty snow! I really don't understand this phenomenon with needing to be in the road. It's really a problem with runners here. I'm all for sharing the road - I even have a license plate declaring as such...but I drive a Prius - which sounds like a golf cart and no one ever hears me. So, I end up honking the horn and scaring the bejesus out of runner/cyclist/tween and getting flipped off anyway. I say....you pay taxes to have that sidewalk. Use it. Like public libraries.

hysterical...accidental retaliation has a place now and then.

Stupid kids! Roads are for cars. They got what they deserved. You were witnessing karma in action!

Hells yeah, virtual high 5. Last year in the one "snow" that we had, I got attacked by iceballs by a gang of kids at walmart. I would have loved to gotten such revenge.

That'll learn 'em! I mean, is a little courtesy too much to ask for? About fondue, we had 2 oil pots for 6 people, and it worked wonderfully!

That is freakin' hilarious!
You know, they do that in my town too and it pisses me off. So I gun it when I get around em. Yeah. Take that you walking in the middle of the road assholes. And then they flip me off and then I flip them off and then it's just good times.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you sprayed them with snow!!!

Why do teenagers do that? Haven't they been taught basic, human manners. Guess not.

Well, sometimes teens behave like stupids!
Snow spraying makes good!!

Totally justifiable! There is a whole lot of entitlement going around these days that I just don't get.

I have 3 teenagers and I hope they would never do this... I can say however, I have had kids do this to me. Leaving a highschool football game. Shocking the rudeness these days.

Glad you cooled them off with a snow shower.

Kids do NOT respect adults like we did when we were young. They're probably running all over their parents at home.

This post just made my day. You are the best!!

LOL!!! This totally made my day! We have these idiots here too, and not just kids either! I'm glad that you got your revenge on them!
I can just imagine their faces...not to mention the gestures in return, but I would have laughed all the way home!

Mine pales in comparison; just work bullshit.

too bad it wasn't sleeting outside when your tires spun.

Not for nothing. but I was never that defiantly stupid as a teenager. These days, they all seem to have a sense of entitlement. Teens, I mean. And old people, and people with babies, and bicyclists.

(note to self: today, I became a grumpy old man)

It really does make it funnier that it was by accident. :-)

That's lovely! The snow thing was the icing on the cake.

I'm sure the boy who ran after you was all bark and no bite: he knew full well you'd drive off without stopping so he had nothing to lose. Just trying to earn extra "cool" points among his friends...
