I know, I know it isn't Tuesday but I have been busy being a guest blogger...which is fun by the way. And thank you all for reading and giving comment love to my hosts Throwing Quarters and Lessons Learned.

I had a blog all written about some of the irritating things about my job and then decided otherwise. Thanks to my guest blogger Adam. [a few wise words for all bloggers]

We all have things that bother us about our work place from the top boss to the lowest [which would just about be me]. But they keep me in computers and food [notice the order].

What I will say is the music sucks where I work. One lab doesn't have a radio at all, not that there is any reception, and the other lab picks up one station that is currently playing Christmas music 24/7. Not too bad but after the 2nd rendition of The Little Drummer Boy and the first notes of a Mariah Carey song I lose it. The lab with a radio has an auxillary port so I can plug in my ipod and enjoy my own music. The other lab has an old boom box stashed away and sometimes I think to bring in a few cds but at that lab you work with another tech and some don't like to listen to music, I know crazy.

So I either get to work alone and listen to music and pray it isn't busy or work with someone and no music and still pray it isn't busy.

Ok so not my greatest post but it is number 301, and people say I don't stick with things. And thank you to all 184 of my followers [I think a couple are duplicates but who's counting]

Yet one more reason I love being a nanny, I don't really have to deal with people. At least, adult people. :)

There is a possibility that if you listen to The Little Drummer Boy enough times your brain will morph into the shape if its words and from then on hearing it will be all you want to do. Whether you consider this a good thing I do not know.

Congrats on post 301!!

If I'm really, really trying to focus, I need complete silence. Otherwise, I do like background music!

That's got to be a favorite thing abnout writing, choosing your soundtrack! Christmas carols lead to jusdtifiable homicide? Yes, I should think so!

"praying for it to not be busy". how is that working out?

Is it bad to write complaining posts about our jobs? I do it sometimes. I don't think anyone from my job reads, but you just never know... and I am awfully thankful for the money it provides for food and computers. Food comes first with me. SADLY! I wish it didn't!

WooHoo! 301! :)

Being force-fed repetitive music would drive me insane. Or would that be more insane? ;)

A BOOM BOX!!!????

That's awesome. You just took me back to the days when I had my first boom box. It was pink and small and only played tapes, and I loved it.

Break out the boom box and jam on!

I was in TJ Maxx a couple days ago and heard some of THE WORST MUSIC IN MY LIFE.

It was, of course, all Christmas music. I was in there for close to an hour (not of my own accord) and if I heard Kenny G whip out "What Child Is This?" one more time, I was going to slap a ho.

Mature? Of course not, but that's what the holidays are all about.

I can only handle the twenty four hour christmas music about two days, then I just want to run screaming, the stuff on those stations is worse than dentist music.....lol

I used to work in a furniture store that had muzak. OMG. I hated it. Pandora on the work computer is saving my life today!

When you think about it, how many Christmas songs can there really be, that we can listen to them for 2 whole months.

Any chance of using an iPod in your line of work? Just wondering...

I'd go nuts listening to the same music all day.

185!

I used to work retail and hated Christmas time because of the music. Over and over again, the same 15 songs. Over and over and over and over and over...

I'm at like 289 or something on posts. Amazing! Congrats.
Guest blogging makes me nervous. I don't do it anymore. My hat off to you:)

Congrats on 301 - I like the sound of that number. I thought I was the only one who didn't stick things ... lol I've found a similar soul. I am surprised that I am sticking this blogging thing too, I think I am around 100 odd posts. Stick in with the job ... food is important, and oh ye computers too.
