Sunday Rerun. The Mission-A True Story

I hope everyone had a great Christmas... we did at the Logic household. Peaceful and relaxing. Thanks to all who stopped by to admire our tree... It was nice to wonder around and read everyone else's holiday wishes.

The story in this poem is word for word the truth.. no lie. Some will relate, some won't but hopefully all will have a chuckle.

The Mission-A True Story

Today was the dreaded day,
I was on a mission, some might say.
Even the daughters were dragged along,
Perhaps to steer me from going wrong.

I'm not the easiest woman to please,
Lumpy and grumpy, not at all at ease.
If you knew me, you would see,
How difficult this task was going to be.

Location one, the people were rude,
Success was minimal, left in a bad mood.
Back in the car, the music cheered,
Off we drove, another mall neared.

Location two, my mission was taken,
Home ellusive and dinner forsaken.
Success was soon to be at hand,
The sales lady helpful and grand.

Two were tried, on and found,
Now which color, they abound.
Paid in full and me in awe,
Content at last with my new bra.

I always here the same line, that I'm wearing the wrong size, etc.
Hey, my weight changes sometimes.

That's a cute poem/story.

Lol! I just loved this poem!
I'm afraid I was behind the door when it came to handing out breasts, in fact I have often thought that my head was on back to front!

question: is bra shopping worse than bathing suit shopping?

I prefer bra shopping to jeans or bathing suits any day. You know, for me shopping for an item of immediate need rarely goes well. Stumbling upon what I need by chance delivers far better results than any "mission" mentality. I think that is what they mean when they say "Focus is over rated." Although, probably nobody ever said that(out loud).
Fun poem. glad you decided to rerun it.

Hate the bra shopping! Hate it. At 21 had a reduction, now after 3 kids, need another. Glad not to be the only one out there who dreads it.

Happy New Year. Let's have a virtual martini!

Thanks for stopping by Ma, What's For Dinner again! Love the rhymes!

What a "supportive" story, as they say...

HA...I went to get fitted once and was NOT happy to discover I was wearing the wrong size...and needed one even smaller.

Shopping for bras, jeans and swimsuits are three of the most frustrating activities. All can reduce me to tears before I've even made it into the dressing room.

So glad you found one to hoist and support!
