I have seen these 25 question posts throughout blogland [created by Mandy's Life After 30] and been a Scrooge about it but Adventures of a Yankee Girl finally convinced me to follow through and answers the Christmas list...so here goes.

or (c) call yourself a scrooge in the comment below and refuse to answer them.

(1) What is your favorite Christmas movie?
My favorite is "Its a Wonderful Life." I just love Jimmy Stewart.
(2) What is your LEAST favorite Christmas movie?
Never really thought about a least favorite. They all have some redeeming value I suppose.
(3) What is your favorite Christmas song?
God Bless Us Everyone or anything on my new Andrea Bocelli cd.
(4) What Christmas song(s) drives you crazy?
The Little Drummer Boy... what a snooze song. Drives me crazy.. hours long that song is.
(5) What is your favorite Christmas drink? (i.e. egg nog, hot chocolate)
Hot chocolate with a splash of Baileys.. yum. Must find me a favorite with vodka...anyone?
(6) What is your favorite Christmas memory?
Watching my children open their presents and seeing their faces when Santa got them what they wanted.
(7) What is the best toy/gift you've received on Christmas?
I got a play kitchen when I was little. They locked me in the bathroom to have time to put it together.. I loved that kitchen. It could also be my worst memory....didn't know why I was locked in the bathroom
(8) What is the worst toy/gift you've received on Christmas?
I can't think of a worst present off hand.. I suppose clothes that didn't fit or I didn't like.
(9) What do you LOVE about the holidays?
Everyone is so generous...and the cookies... they are my crack.
(10) What annoys you about the holidays?
Snarky people. Store clerks that are grumpy,, muzak
(11) Do you prefer star or angel on top of a Christmas tree? Or something else?
Which ever, we have had both as long as it is sparkly
(12) What is your family favorite recipe at Christmas?
Moms home made Stolen toasted with butter.
(13) Are you a Grinch or a Who at Christmastime?
I am about 50/50. Yeah moody I guess..
(14) Christmas light displays - Love them or Hate them?
I like Christmas lights but don't know of many around me who really "do it up" I am generally to lazy to put any up.
(15) Santas at the mall - Fun times or Creepy?
For the most part Fun times... but I like to check them out.
(16) Christmas cards - do you send them, yes or no?
I haven't sent card in years........which could explain why I don't get many..
(17) What is the best thing about Christmas, in your opinion?
The food, j/k the family time is the best. The spirit of the season and Boxing day
(18) What is the worst thing about Christmas?
The feeling that there isn't enough time to do everything.
(19) When do you put the tree up and take it down?
We put the tree up when get time. I would like to have it up by now but haven't managed. It goes back in the box on New Years day or when I am tired of picking up bulbs the cats have knocked off and broken.
(20) Out of the 12 days of Christmas, which day and item would you want your true love to give to you?
Are any of the days food? Then I'll go gor 5 golden rings.
(21) Why do you think that Grandma got run over by a reindeer?
She forgot her glasses and had too much eggnog.
(22) Who is your favorite reindeer?
Rudolph.....duh
(23) Do you believe in Santa Claus?
Sure, I believe in the spirit of Christmas.
(24) What is your favorite smell at Christmastime?
Cookies baking...surprise, surprise.
(25) What would make you happy at Christmas this year?
A quiet and peaceful day. And Kelly Jones

I love the holiday and just block out the muzak which is critical at this time of year. LOL. The rude salespeople..ummm, new occupation please.

Oh! I have to tell you about a holiday drink with vodka!!
At Yankee stadium they sell a drink called Godiva Hot CHocolate, with you guessed it, Godiva liquor as well as vodka and hot chocolate. I measure it 1/3, 1/3, 1/3. Enjoy!!

I like Kahlua in my eggnog - and since Kahlua has Vodka in it, that could work for you, couldn't it? For that matter, Kahlua would be great in hot chocolate, too! :)
You know, I was all set to have a Merry Bah-Humbug this year and skip all the razzamataz (except for my neices), but after reading this, it reminded me of so many happy memories, that I think maybe I will get into the festive spirit. Thanks for this and Thanks to Mandy too. You could probably make some sort of peppermint martini I suppose. I'm sure it has been done before. After all, I heard that there is such as thing as a bacon-tini, so peppermint wouldn't be too weird. Or ginger bread or cranberry. Cheers! - G

I enjoy the family times when they are drama free. The food is really where it's at though. What other time of year can you eat like a pig and have no one question you about it?
