If this title looks familiar it is because I borrowed it from Vodka Mom. She has an important message on her blog today and I felt it was so important I asked if I could put the link on my blog. She readily agreed.
Stalking is not something to fool around with and it certainly isn't to be considered flattering. If you think someone following your every move and communication is cool or special, think twice because it can turn bad very quickly. We have all seen news reports about young girls, mostly, getting harmed or killed by someone that "loved" them.
I am not trying to be unduely harsh or scare anyone, I just want everyone to read this blog and take it to heart. If you have teen, or young adult daughters just learning their way in life these facts could save their life. Of course stalking could happen to anyone but as an adult I think most of us would know what to do...our youngster may not. Of course men/boys can be the subject of a stalker as well, and please those parents need to heed these warning as well...
Now run don't walk and read this post on Vodka Mom

Heading over to read it!!
I just came from there and over to here, partly to thank you for following my blog. I have seen you around, but have never been here before.
It is nice to see people looking out for the welfare of others. It shows that all of the horror stories about the internet are balanced with some people who really care! Great Job!
You're right! What's happening to Sassy could very easily happen to any one of our daughters someday. . .
Thanks for spreading the word.
Thanks! Good advice, I had my teen read! :P
Thank you for posting this! This is something everyone should read.
I feel very strongly about people writing under the name of Anonymous too! These dregs of the earth just troll the Internet looking to put people down and undermine their confidences. I was going to write a post about this a couple of weeks ago, but then I found this button, that I hope everyone will put on their side-bar!
Thanks for sharing this and the link to the other blog!
I follow Vodkamom's posts too and it was a true surprise to find two Vodka-s having the same name for their posts. But yes... You did a great job by promoting this post. You're very thoughtful!
I wish I could post about my own experiences with this to help and warn other people! But, I can't.
Good advice, thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks for sharing this. Stalking in person and on the internet or what have you is a serious thing. We as women need to be pro-active and look for the signs, because it could save our lives. Great post, way to spread the word.
Thanks for reinforcing the message. It's a scary world we live in, no?
Isn't it sad how much the world has changed since we were kids/teens?
I'm always going to worry about stuff like that with Princess Nagger especially as she gets older.
Thanks for posting this!
Yup, I read it.
It is frightening.
i'll have to check it out... this is the kind of stuff that terrifies me as a mother!
That is a very serious matter/problem.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy Monday!
VL,
me an Bess have daughters, they are savy and smart, but you always need to be aware of these things.
We are too old to be stalked, what would they want our walkers?
BIG BIG HUGS
Bess says hi
I have luckily never had a stalker. I hope I never do too. Headed over to read Vodka Mom's post.
Just found your blog and I love it! I'll be back.
thanks for sharing vl
horrifying...and yes, a great and important message to share.
That is terrifying, and thank you for passing the message along.
Thanks for sending this our way - I try to convince my daughter of these things every day but like other teens her age, they think they are invincible and as long as she has her cellphone that she will be okay - I can't stress to her enough that the cellphone will be the FIRST thing to go if someone wanted to harm her.... *sigh*
