Choose an Identity

I always get a kick out of the blog comment window, where it says "Choose an Identity". As you see mine is already in there since I am logged in.... but what if I want to choOse another identity, what would I choose?

Catherine Zeta Jones perhaps, she is beautiful and younger. Not sure I want to be married to Michael Douglas.

Heidi Klum, I think she is one of the most beautiful woman on the planet. Again do I want to be married to Seal. He sings nice enough but ...

Maybe a powerful woman like Oprah...not for a billion dollars. Something about her really, really annoys me. [I do know what annoys me but that is for another day]

Does beauty even have to be part of it? Well if I am getting to choose, yes.

Money? Sure I would like to know what it is like to be rich. It may not bring you happiness but I would like to give it a try. [at least get the kids through college]

Sports figure? Maybe. I would like to get fit. Politician? Hmmm not so much. Pop star, literary genius, scientist, astronaut, stripper, hit man the possiblities are endless.

Now when that window comes up for you to leave me a comment, and you are going too. Let me know ... who do you choose?

As my Daddy used to say, "I like you just the way you are, and don't you ever switch!" I guess that goes for my identity, too. Snuggled up near you at SITS this a.m. Happy Monday!

Aww you're no fun. ;)

Heidi Klum is a fabulous idea - not only gorgeous, but I love the accent.

I think Sandra Bullock or Diane Lane.

Tee hee - I've always gotten a little giggle over how Google phrased that bit too. I think I would have to say that I would love to log in and be Rachael Ray for a day - but not because I like her (I don't!), but because I'd love to see what it's like to be paid to cook and such, I think I'd really like that! I also wouldn't mind being on Oprah's payroll, I imagine she pays pretty well. :)

I'd like to be Lunga from the musical Africa. If you saw my posting a couple of days ago you'll know who I mean. Why? 'Cos of the look I saw fleet across my hubby's face when I said, after seeing her gyrations,'bet her husbands happy!'

Great posting! Will be back to see the other responses.

I always say I want to be my older son. His sweet calm non-impulsive disposition with his clever humor. He is almost 3 and I have felt this since he was born. I swear he came into this world knowing how to be and what to do? What a great thought provoking and fun post?

I'd totally go for Heidi if I knew I'd look at good as she does at 40 something...

Thanks for my congrats!!! Chicago is such a beautiful place, but you want to go when it won't be so cold!!

hmm...I think I would want to have a superhero second identity kinda like cat woman! That would be so much fun!

I'm with Lilu. Heidi would be my choice too. Especially if it meant that I could host Project Runway.

I could really rock on that show. :)

I always choose me. I'm too old to wish to be someone else.

Unless the blog in questions forces me to choose from a limited selection that isn't me (since I don't use Blogger) - then I become Jpooh, courtesy of MyOpenID. But, come to think of it, Jpooh is me too.

I just want to hear about Oprah annoying you, because seriously, I thought I was like the only woman on the planet that doesn't watch "O". Her, Dr. Phil, and Dr. Oz.....sheesh!

I do not need any self help crap daily to make me feel better about myself, which leads me to this, I choose me. I am my own alter ego! :P

Stesha said...

After reading Ms. Blogger's comment I think I would choose Diane Lane. I love her and think she is one of the most underrated actresses ever.

A classic beauty!

I would leave a comment as my dog. Just to be an ass.
I saw your comment on Joannes site and if you email me I will show you how to leave a post like I taught her. Real simple but I am on my way out the door.

I'd like to be a well ajusted guy.. no, I'm not a wanabe tranny, I'm not gay, I'm all woman. But when I think about how comfy guys are...no heels, makeup, purse, easy wardrobe, sit how you like, get respect, no pregnancy, I could go on and on.... maybe George Clooney! Yeah. that's who I'd like to be, for sure. PS Ms. Vodka Logic, I'd love to know what bugs your about Oprah.. prey tell... Thanks, keri www.samwich365.com... you never came over to visit, how come?

I'd like to be a lottery winner of a huge jackpot. Then I can be rich and me!

What a fun post!

Let's see...
1- Heidi Klum. She must be a wonderful person to meet the man of her dreams while pregnant with another's baby. :)

2- I agree with Sparkless. I would like to be a huge lottery winner so that I can be myself but rich! :)

3- Kate Winslet! She is gorgeous. Seems to have a nice family and you almost never see her on the tabloids :) Plus, her BFF is DiCaprio... *sigh*

redkathy said...

I like the lottery winner idea too! Right about now, in all reality, I'd pick someone with good health and money...

Faith Hill: beautiful, awesome singer, hot husband, nice house, money...what else do you need?

Karen @ If I Could Escape . . . said...

Hmmmm, interesting question! I think I'd pick January Jones -- she's beautiful PLUS gets to smooch with Jon Hamm!

As long as you don't choose anonymous, you can be whomever you want to be. lol

Oprah is irritating..and I KNOW why she bothers me! Ugh.

For fun:
Today I want to go back and be a fabulous college student on scholarship - so I can sleep late and not pay bills.

Tomorrow: I want to be Nicole Kidman so I can wear a beautiful, stunning, thousands of dollars dress out with my cutie pie husband.

Wednesday I'll be Faith Hill because for once in my life I'd be able to really hear music and sing it (i'm tone deaf) - plus then I'd be married to Tim McGraw! YIPPEE

Thursday I'd be an airplane pilot and able to fly across the country (mind you one that is not afraid of heights or have any type of motion sickness) and see the beautiful land from a birds perspective.

Hum, very interesting question! The possibilities here are endless...but I'm quite happy just to be me!
I'm special, and unique, and say things the way they are! I just wish that this time zone wasn't such a big issue though! I'm often still writing at 6:00 a.m.!
I'm really interested in this Oprah thing though!

I don't like the way this entry is going Miss Logic. As a staunch right wing Republican Alaskan ex-beauty queen with great hips and extreme intelligence (especially at being stupid) and also the best techniques for naming children, I have to say, this entry is insignificant next to my bid to be the next El Presidente. Heil Sarah! That is all. Achtung! Can I borrow your expensive dress? I will return it after become President for a full refund.

My chosen identity would be Meryl Streep.
Beautiful
Mature
Talented
Wealthy
AND I would have a Cook with Meryl TV show with many millions of loyal viewers.

Now can anyone make that happen?

Carolyn @ My Backyard Eden said...

Good question. I'm not sure who'd I'd pick today. Probably not Sarah Palin, the commenter above already picked her! Glad I wandered over from SITS!

I think Drew Barrymore is such a bundle of giggles and fun. I'd choose her!

I normally just hit the Name/URL option because it's easier, and if somone wants to visit, the link from my name takes them directly to my blog. One less step!

I'm late to the party. Too many good ones mentioned already. I would also say Kate Winslet (beautiful, talented, awesome gal), January Jones (Smooching Jon Hamm would be a plus), maybe Tina Fey (Beautiful, talented, hilarious).

Stephanie Faris said...

Hmmm... Catherine Zeta Jones is a good pick. She's GORGEOUS. Maybe with the literary talent and success of Rachel Gibson or Meg Cabot.

Samsmama said...

Catherine is a good one, but I like my men to not receive senior citizen discounts. "Old balls" don't turn me on. But I'd take her money and body. And pre-nup.

I can't think of a single person I would be, but I'd happily take Oprah's cash, Catherine Zeta-Zones looks and Heidi Klum's laid back have a million babies and still rock it attitude. What does that make me? Oprah Zeta-Klum? Alrighty, new identity has been found!!! Thanks :)
