$40 and a Cab ride home.....

So Saturday after the casino adventure we relaxed around the house and had a nice breakfast. It was a bit frustrating as well since the internet was still down. Luckily we have BlackBerrys and we were able to keep up with our emails and texts etc. Funny thing Rush and I still text each other even though we may be in the same house. She has a big house and I am never sure where she is, so instead of hollering I text her... hey whatever works.

We got the internet back in the afternoon sometime and I managed to post and catch up on most of the many blogs I read. If I didn't read or comment on some that I usually do I apologize and hope to keep up now I am back home.

We drove into Indianapolis and headed to PF Chang's not Marc Pi's as I said in my last blog. It was about 8pm when we got there but still had to wait. After 1 1/2 of the best martini's we have ever had we got a seat at the bar.  We had some lovely appetizers and meal. Another martini and some nice conversation with the bartender and some fellow diners. [pictures are on my camera will post later]

We took a cab to the next place since it was getting late and we decided to go to The Slippery Noodle abadonning the idea of Nicky Blanes for some live music and a more lively atmosphere. It turns out it is the oldest bar in Indiana. Cool..  There were two bands, a blues band in the front area and a more rock band in the back area. We moved to the back bar and found a table and had a couple of drinks with raspberry vodka... they were different but ok. We soon graduated to the Buttery Nipples again. We had a couple upstairs and then moved downstairs to watch the other band. A gentleman from Texas bought us a round of Buttery Nipples to show that hospitality isn't gone...OK... I'll take it.

The next guy we sat near had no interest in buying us any drinks at all...he was a bit stiff and quiet. We had a couple more shots and bought some official Slippery Noodle shot glasses. They are great, nice heavy "real" shot glasses.

Rush hailed us a cab out side and we relaxed on the way home...well I relaxed asleep and Rush gave the driver the directions to her house...she did wake me up to pay.... sheesh... It was a great night with great company.

The next morning was more relaxing and I must admit I snuck in a couple of short naps. Rushs sister kindly drove us back to Indy the next day to pick up the car. With the parking fee paid we went to the mall and Rush treated me to lunch and I counted all the Colts shirts invading my space..eekkk.

Home for a relaxing evening and we enjoyed a nice roast with carrots and potatoes and some yummy snacks while we watched the NE Patriots lose and the Indy Colts win... Ok I guess she is the hostess after all.

Monday morning was early and we had to head to the airport for my trip home. It was sad as we don't get to see each other often, but it is always nice to go home. I am back to work tonight and the grind begins again.
