Four Days and counting........NYC

Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

This is today's drug of choice today (can't call it a snack really) along with some tylenol for the fever. The box of tissues was dredged from the back seat of my car so looks a little worse for wear. That is Afrin nose spray. It works wonders and I should have stock in the company having bought that more than any over the counter drug in my life. I have called in sick from work tonight and I am soon to be in sleepy land if all goes well. Serves them right for making me work extra my first week back to full time hours (since the reduced hours due to mono)

Oldest daughter is still healthy, crossed fingers she stays that way. Husband and youngest have already had it so they frolic freely about. Had my seasonal flu shot the other day at work so hopefully that will help, not sure if I am going to get the H1N1 shots yet.

I can pick up my new glasses tomorrow. I can't wait to be able to see and read properly again!!

Random question: should the transformer thingy on my laptop power cord get so hot. It is usually warm but sometimes gets almost too hot to touch?

Hopefully you'll get lots of rest tonight and feel better soon!

My transformer thingy for my laptop gets real hot quite often, too - I looked it up once because I was worried, and found out that it's absolutely normal. The temp of the adapter depends on the supplied electricity, the ambient temperature, the amount of power the laptop draws, etc. Mine gets really hot when it's hot in the room or especially if I have a gazillion things open at once as I multitask... ;)

Feel better soon!!!

We kept our youngest home yesterday because he had something. Now he's back up like nothing happened and my wife is staying home from work.

I'd be worried about the plug.

I had a compaq laptop that got so hot it eventually melted the rubber sheating on the cables and started sparking. Every store wanted like seventy bucks for a new one!

I'm thinking you'll feel much better by the time this trip begins. You should be over the worst of it at least!

I don't have a laptop so I'm not sure about that question. I wish I had one though!

Hoping you'll be in tip top shape by trip time. I came down with something this past week too. Felt absolutely like crap. No energy.

Seems like all this stuff is going around - hopefully you'll be totally better by the time of your trip.

My transformer thing is also really hot sometimes - when I asked someone at Best Buy they told me to have the computer on a flat surface where it can "breathe' sometimes I would put it on the bed or couch now I use a book underneath - seems to have helped.

Cheers,
Anita

Ohhh you have to feel better - maybe this is just a result of your seasonal flu shot - my hubby sometimes gets flu like symptoms after his shot.

I need to live vicariously through you on this trip - I LOVE NYC and wish I was going. But that's a whole other post for my own blog.

Very interested in your drug of choice!! And yes, our transformer usually gets quite hot too. I think that's quite normal.

Hope you feel better soon.

Am going to sign up to follow you. Hope you'll come visit my blog and maybe follow me?

See you soon.
