I am actually outside today and not dying. It has been unbearably hot lately. This morning is glorious, birds singing, a nice breeze, the husband is cooking breakfast on the grill and the bugs aren't too bad.....yet. (don't worry I am not going to pull a "Mary Poppins" and start singing)
This is my kind of weather. If only it was like this year round. The picture is of my side yard, a bit disheveled from the ice storm last December but the sky is beautiful. "Enough blue sky to make a Dutchman's britches" my mother used to say.
This last pictures are of our cats Lucky (the brown and white one) and Raisin (remind me to tell you how she got that name sometime)... Husband calls them cats on a rope. (lots of coyotes and fox so we don't let them out alone)

Cats on a rope,... hahaha!
Poor cats. No?
I should feel sorry for you, the heat and all, but I am not. I am inviting you to my country because in about three weeks we will be sweating. And in about 6 weeks we will be frying.
Congrats on all the bling! You really deserve it.
I do think the cats would rather run free, but they are used to it and I would rather they weren't some other animals dinner.
I always wanted to visit another hemisphere :)
I've never seen a cat on a leash. But, I guess that is better than the alternative.
Visiting via SITS.
I like cats. I wish they liked me; I'm allergic to them. :(
Awwwwwww, what cute kitties! We used to try to walk our kitty on a leash when we lived in a busy apartment complex. My husband would get ready to go out, and say, "OK, I'm going to tow the cat now." She really didn't like the leash, one little bit. She'd collapse on the ground, and trying to get her to move really was like towing!
I've never seen a cat on a leash before, or as your husband calls it "cats on a rope!" New to your blog and looking forward to reading more from you!
I am your most recent follower. :)
I love cats (and dogs, rabbits, etc.) The black and white one reminds me of my Sammy, I think coyotes got him when we lived in a more rural area. We just found a momma cat and kittens in the lot next door so I think I am a dad again. Anyway, great blog! I will be back! Take care!
When I had a cat I would try to leash her too. She hated it, but being an indoor scardy cat, she was petrified of the outdoors. It was pretty funny.
Over from SITS!
Thanx - I'd like to check out your up north cemeteries for sure some time. David
