Been listening to the new Jet cd today, Shaka Rock. It is very good, great rock 'n roll. I saw them a couple of years ago in a small club in New Hampshire and they were really good. We got to meet them after the gig. They were unassuming and very nice, not what I expected for rock and rollers. It was a pleasant surprise.Stereophonics is putting the finishing touches on a new cd and I can't wait to hear it. I saw them in a small Boston club and so hope they come back to the US to tour. They are a Welsh band and my favorite. They have some truly touching and amazing lyrics as well as kick ass music.
I hear Noel Gallagher has left Oasis another top favorite of mine. I am not too surprised by it since the Gallagher brothers, Liam is lead singer, have been fighting forever. I hope it is like their other difficulties and they get past it and reform. I did hear bits about Noel wanting to do some solo music so hopefully there will be more from them in one form or another. I saw Oasis in NYC at Madison Square Garden last December and completely enjoyed the show, even though we were in the rafters. At least I have seen them live should they never play again.
Another favorite of mine is Robbie Williams and he is putting out a long awaited new cd in November. I am looking forward to it but am a bit leery since it has been so long. He has a great talent for pissing off his fans with delays and a bogus web site. I would like to see him tour again. The last tour led him to rehab. I did manage to catch a gig in Mexico City and despite almost getting crushed to death I did enjoy the show.Lady GaGa was on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and she was more normal than I thought she would be, but what is normal really. She sang Poker Face and although it has a good beat it is very annoying. I haven't been able to get it out of my head. My daughter likes it, says "it is her kind of music". Well she is seeing Britney for the second time this tour, tonight. She is taking her younger sister for her birthday. I just hope one doesn't push the other in front of a subway train. They are like the Gallagher brothers most days.....
Take from these ramblings what you will, my blog, my opinions. Any new band/singer suggestions welcome. My tastes are fairly eclectic...thanks ahead of time.

Jet are awesome and they would be unassuming because they are aussies...lol
oh and Oasis...im sure they will re-form over and over...explosive relationship those two.The Stereophonics...well you know how I feel about them and Mr Williams...I sit and wait :-)
And you are the most unassuming of them all hey D. lol... you crack me up.
xx
Robbie Williams always seemed like an arrogant jerk to me. He's not all that big here in America...just that Millennium song which I didn't feel was worth all the arrogance.
Lady GaGa's new song is even more annoying to me than Poker Face.
I definitely have a spot in my heart exclusively for Robbie Williams especially since he did the song "Kids" with Kylie Minogue, who is absolutely fantastic. I wish he was a little more popular here in the states though, he is quite talented.
I will have to check out Jet!
My musical tastes are also eclectic, though I tend to like long-ago music more than the modern fare. Still, I do enjoy Oasis, and Robbie Williams is a cutie, even if he is arrogant, as Stephanie said.
I like the band Jet. Just found your blog. I'm from MA too, but live in NH now.
Hi www.greedygirlsguide.com checking in from SITS
My new favorite group is Muse - Their Black Holes and Revelations CD. A couple of catchy songs on it :-)
Thanks for the follow.
I have heard of Muse but not listened to them.
Thanks

I like o'l Robbie myself!
But the jury is still out on Lady Gaga,... she scares me. And I am not sure if it is good scare or bad scare..
