Ok, could it get any hotter. I hate this weather, in fact I hate weather period. Always been afraid of thunder storms, the heart races just with the anticipation of them coming. Now hurricane Bill is out in the Atlantic threatening my peace. (weather alert says not headed for the US shore... phew) I have never trusted the weather reports. They say we are getting a foot of snow we get a dusting, and two inches becomes a foot, we batton down for a hurricane and we get sunshine... you get my drift.
Today was even hotter because I decided to do some organizing in the kitchen. Crazy to say the least. First of all I hate to clean so not sure what came over me and I have also cooked for the last few days...another cause for concern. I can cook if I choose to but I don't choose to very often. The husband cooks so why argue? What I have cooked are tried and true things I am well versed at, baked mac and cheese, meatloaf, Eggplant Patrice and frozen veggies. Not all in one day but over the course of a few days. Not sure about the weekend. I have to work and those weeks are usually lost since I have to get sleep at some point.
The cleaning bit is the real annomoly since I usually pay my kids to do it. I'm not sure I have mentioned it before but my oldest does most of the laundry, I think I have used the new washer 3 times.

If I am in the family room when the drier empties she will toss it to me to fold...sheesh some nerve. Folding is easy so I don't mind, I line the baskets up in front of me, one for hubby and me and one for each of the daughters. (Make sure they don't block the cable box so I can change channels or adjust the volume as needed, on the tv).... any way I am rambling. The kitchen organizing is a job that can be done in pieces, a drawer here and a cupboard there so it is my kind of job. My desk downstairs needs a major overhaul and I think I am finding things to distract me from that chore. Maybe when the weather calms down a bit...it gets so hot. We are expecting some company next week, daughter is having a birthday party and my mom is coming for a visit. If people didn't visit I am quite sure nothing would ever get done....but there does come a point when the clutter gets to even me.
That's about all the hate I can come up with today... well I could discuss some politicians I am not crazy about or terrorists or even some books and movies I don't like but I don't want to be whiner...
What I do like is my new BlackBerry Bold. It has some nice updates from my BB Curve and is very user friendly. I did have one glitch that has me annoyed but it is livable. The phone had to be exchanged within a few days of purchase because it died..kaput.. adios. The software became corupt therefore unusable. The BB expert on the phone said it was probably from a third party download, I said I had downloaded Facebook and she said they have a big problem with FB. When I took it back to where I bought it they had never heard of it before so who to believe? I haven't reinstalled it on the new BB and I am ok with that, I can SMS to FB if I want...what I can't do is mobile upload pictures which I used to do all the time. My daughter and I take pictures of our food a lot, sushi is very pretty. So I am tempted to reinstall... anyone else have trouble with BB and FB. All in all, besides having to re-enter all my appointments and a lot of email addresses I love my new BB.

i work in the industry where I sell these phones.
The blackberry is the best. which ever one. you signal depends on your carrier, but the phone itself is awesome.
for them to tell you FB is what messed it up is a cop out. RIM [maker of the BB] MADE that program for the blackberry, so it most most likely NOT that. Feel free to get it back.
many people on the phone will tell you anything that is logical to get you off the phone. [basically tell you they don't feel good]
they often times just won't say, well, you just got a bad one. if they did, you would develop the connotation that they sell bad things.
well most likely, you got a bad one.
for the record, i have owned, the BB pearl, curve, tour, storm, and flip pearl.
currently i am using the storm and tour.
God I love BB
Thanks for all the great advice. I will surely bend your ear for more.
xx
Oh the weather has been annoying in NYC too. Crazy humidity, then sunshine and all of a sudden woosh! Thunder and lightening. I usually enjoy thunderstorms (as long as I'm inside), but those middle-of-the-night thunderclaps scared me!
Visting from Saturday Sharefest.
You have it all figured out my friend.
My husband does not cook, my three boys don't clean and I am constantly cleaning.
I need to be more consistent with my chore chart - it definitely helps.
Thought you would appreciate this post titled, Will They Always Be Slobs: http://www.isdisnormal.com/2009/02/14/will-they-always-be-slobs/
LOL - you do housework the way I do (except I cook). Odd coincidence, too - I cleaned the fridge and rearranged the pantries yesterday, too.
Hello fellow New Englander....stopping by from SITS. You are a woman after my own heart! Pay the kids to clean and do laundry and husband cooks. You're my hero. My husband can only find the kitchen when dinner is ready and I pay a housekeeper to clean my house. The laundry is the one chore I don't mind. Happy Sunday...rest!
