BlackBerry Bold and the hopefully Beautiful

I have been coveting a BlackBerry (BB) Bold for awhile now and finally got one yesterday. So far so good. I have a lot to learn about it and hopefully the curve isn't too steep as I can be a real dolt about these things. I do have two kids more than willing to take over and show me the ins and outs but I want to try on my own first. I have had a BB Curve for over a year now so some things I have managed to set up on this new one, the email and a few bookmarks on the browser. I have text messaging down and the camera seems straight forward. I do need to figure out the ring tones for the SMS and MMS and there are some FaceBook alerts that won't go away and I have no idea how they got there or how to get rid of them. I never did figure out how to upload the TwitterBerry on the Curve so maybe I can on this one. A phone call to some helpline will be happening I am sure, I just hope they speak the same language as me.

The phone is slick looking, to me anyway, and the screen and video are brilliant. I did have trouble understanding the desktop manager for the Curve so fingers crossed I can handle this one. I would like to put some music on it.

I did waffle between getting the Bold and the iphone. The kids wanted me to get the iphone but I loved my Curve and felt like I was betraying it if I went to the iphone. (odd but that's me) The iphone would have made sense in that I have a MAC laptop and the desk top manager doesn't seem all that compatable with it. I also have an ipod (several in fact) so the software is already installed on the desktop (a PC) and the MAC. Apparently the calender on the MAC would sync with the iphone but hey who wants things to be too easy... so I bought the Bold.

I do have 30 days to try it and if I don't like I can take it back.

Do any of you have the Bold and if so how do you like it and do you have any tips for me?

I figure my next post will be ranting about it and pictures of multiple martinis trying to calm my nerves......wish me luck.
