Relief

I sit in the back of the bus and cry,
Watching as my life goes by.

The cars go past at breakneck speed,
Tempting me to take the lead.

Wishing I could be brave and try,
To say to my sadness a final good bye.

My gears in reverse so it seems,
Erasing everything, even my dreams.

When I live my life as I want,
People get hurt, my mind they haunt.

I know I can't be what everyone wants,
So continue I will and ignore the taunts.

It starts as sadness and as grief,
Ends in my mind starting to feel some relief.
