She rolled her eyes,
And shook her head.
Listening to me talk,
Her mind full of dread.
She didn't care,
What I had to say.
Plotting her escape.
How to get away.
Hot tempered, opinionated,
And stubborn is she.
Sensitive and smart,
Just like her mother, me.
Mystifying and relaxed
Anger fades as soon as started.
Comforting, loving
Forgotten angst soon departed.
Years gone by, we'll have a laugh
Happy that, they did pass.
How being fourteen she did sass,
And very nearly kicked our ass.
