Not sure who is interested but to follow up on "Payback is a Bitch" I have been enjoying Oasis music even more after seeing them live. I have a playlist on my ipod that follows the playlist of the show. Great memories. I hear rumors they may be back in the US in the spring. I hope to be there.
I also sprained my left ankle in NYC and landed on my right knee (the bad one). After two weeks I decided to have it looked at, and on the suggestion of the husband went to the ER. I work in a hospital so went after the night shit was over. The place was packed and my "room" was H5, hallway 5, right next to the nurses station. I guess working there has no privleges. Thank god it wasn't a personal problem. After hours of waiting, this is where having a BlackBerry comes in handy, I finally got an xray of the ankle and it is sprained but not broken. The knee she (dr) says needs to be seen by an ortho, it appears I have a torn miniscus. Great, I already have no cartilage in that knee. Will follow up on Monday. Left the ER finally with crutches, an air cast and a script for some great pills. What pain???
We got our electricity on after four days, there were some friends who had it off for over a week. The pioneer strength of New Englanders knows no bounds. I figure ours came on when it did because we bought a generator, at great expense, that morning. It is still in the box, but we will save for the next time. Pray we never use it.
The snow storms the following week were intense but the driving wasn't too bad, I guess I am finally getting used to it, sadly. Contemplating a move to Australia. (not really but to hear an Aussie talk, 32C on Christmas sounds nice.)
The flu after my trip to England is long gone but sometimes I think my stomach and......will never be the same. Old age I figure.
So now the holidays have passed maybe some normalcy will return. Who knows I have two teenagers. I haven't made any resolutions, I always fail. The only thing I have thought of is, this is going to be my year. Not sure what that means but I will figure it out. Time to "shit or get off the pot" so they say.
I'll let you know. xx
